Unless I am “still” the way He intended, how will I know? Still and know go together. You cannot have the one without the other, not in the degree He intends for us. This stillness is an essential condition in the absence of any determination from my part for anything; the absence of self-awareness or self-preservation -- no agenda of my own, completely free from my ends. It is in this stillness we truly hear.

In this devotional I talk about the fact that before there is a resurrection, there has to be a death. This is a principle within the Kingdom of God. When they marched around Jericho, it was not them who brought the walls down, but a complete dependence upon God wrought by God in them during the wilderness before they entered Canaan, or Jericho. Jesus is the Patterned Son, our Forerunner. He said, “Take up your cross and follow Me”. Not all of us have the same crosses to bear. It comes in different forms. It behooves us to discern between spiritual attacks and our crosses to bear. However, what we need to grasp and contemplate is how we bear our cross. Are we without guile? When our buttons are pushed, do we have to defend ourselves? Are we running with the crowd or have we seen the gift that silence truly is? Are we priestly in our lives no matter what we do? Because when Jesus as the spotless Lamb of God laid on the altar, He laid His life down willingly, not trying to save face or defend Himself. His sacrifice was priestly. Overall, this teaching focuses on the priesthood. You will note that the requirement is ultimate, for our God is an ultimate God. He has made a way for us to enter by faith. We are His workmanship, and not only does our heart have to be rented in repentance, but the requirement is HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD. Not a moment in time but a way of living. This is ultimate and only possible by His grace. For of Him, and through Him, and to Him are all things -- to Whom be glory forever. Amen. In this devotional post I share a vision I had wherein the Lord spoke to me about the pearls of wisdom He gave me during a fast. These Pearls of Wisdom are also here on the His Fair Maidens website for you to read and meditate on. The truth is that it took the death of the cross to rent that veil so that we may enter. And yet, some of us find ourselves still in the outer court or inner court. Have you given it any thought that we are found in the heavenly Tabernacle of God when we enter the tent of meeting -- there where we go to find mercy and grace to help in the time of need? Even though we are stuck in our stuffy rooms surrounded with crying kids and demands that require our attention, we have actually entered into that realm that transcends time. No wonder it takes faith. However, the renting that has to take place is the renting of our own hearts. Our love for Him is not measured by how we show Him affection but by how we love one another. “Peter, loveth thou Me, then feed My sheep”. If we cannot love our friends, how shall we love our enemies, those who have every intention of causing us suffering and even death? We cannot feign this love when it comes to our enemies. Only Christ in us can love like this. Our tendency is to see things through our own particular filters, especially when we know them to be doctrinally true. And, of course, truth is always to be upheld. However, He the seeing that He wants to bring us into is not seeing the truth about Him, but The Truth - I AM. It is in the secret place where we not only see Him as He truly is but also as we are. Here we learn not only about the Truth but learn to know Him who is the Truth. We are prone to believe that at that moment of agony in the garden He chose the death of the cross. But the reality is that the cross was the way to NEW LIFE. He chose LIFE, but it meant the cross. This devotional is about a prophetic word I received from Father where He speaks about how we are to be aligned first before He can send us out as His arrows. This alignment is crucial to hit the mark, and we must be willing that He has His way with us for His purposes.
In today's society, prophets are a dime a dozen. So many people call themselves prophets when in fact they are not in the office of prophet, but operating in prophetic gifts. These are two very different things. In this devotional I speak on the making of a prophet.
We are glorified by Him, through Him, and unto His purposes. But this glorification is not the end in itself. The glorification is for His purposes for which He predestined us. Our salvation is not the end just as our sanctification is not the end nor our glorification, but the end is what He has ordained for us. You are being sanctified for the purpose to which He will use you in the time to come. Whatever supernatural gifts and abilities we receive hereafter will be built on top of this foundation. It will be the backbone of the Body.
This devotional addresses the "pet sins" we allow even though being priests of the Lord. I address the fact that though seen individually they may seem "petty", but what they collectively show is a heart condition, which He does not take lightly. He desires truth in the inward part and that we serve Him wholeheartedly. |
